Ontario on track for Canada’s future

The communiqué from this week's Energy and Mines Ministers meeting assumes that Canada needs to supply the world with increasing amounts of energy, mainly through, tar sands developments which are characterized as "responsible and sustainable." Ontario was the only province to distance itself from this unsustainable energy strategy by rejecting the communiqué's wording on the tar sands.

Send Premier McGuinty a letter today applauding him for denouncing the promotion of the tar sand and encouraging the Premiers to push for more federal investment in renewable energy at the Council of the Federations meeting from July 20-22.
